FIBER PROFILE – NEW MATERIAL, NEW OPPORTUNITIES
The search for high-tech and high-quality building materials that can minimize material and time costs for the construction and operation of buildings and structures for various purposes is an urgent task of modern construction. Thanks to this, pultruded composite materials have the opportunity to demonstrate their unique performance characteristics in the widest range of applications in the construction industry, gradually displacing wood, aluminum and PVC from the market.
Fiberglass profiles have one of the highest strength-to-weight ratios compared to any other structural products, as well as excellent corrosion resistance. The products have high resistance to ultraviolet radiation, a wide range of operating temperatures (-100 ° C to +180 ° C), as well as fire resistance, which allows the use of this material in various areas of construction, especially when operating in hazardous voltage zones, and in the chemical industry.
Fiberglass reinforced profile made by pultrusion is a composite building material of the 21st century with a set of unique properties that allows it not only to successfully compete with similar metal products, but also to surpass them in many respects.
Pultrusion (broaching) is the continuous drawing of roving from filament threads, which is pre-impregnated with a multicomponent system based on binders of various resins, fillers, hardeners, thinners and dyes. Thanks to the pultrusion method, it is possible to obtain fiberglass products with any profile (fiberglass pipe, angle, rod, beam, channel, plate, box, etc.). The use of various resins (polyester, phenolic, vinylester, epoxy and acrylic) allows you to give the fiberglass profile the necessary properties, depending on the specific conditions of its operation.
Fiberglass profile Application area:
– Civil and industrial construction;
– Transport engineering;
– Production of load-bearing building structures (in “light” houses, attics, hangars);
– Production of non-bearing building structures (door blocks, window profiles, panels, pedestrian bridges, ladders);
– Production of electrical boxes;
– Manufacturing of ladders, step-ladders, canes;
– Production of long unloaded box profiles (pipes, boxes, poles);
– Production of electrical insulators and fittings.
